Does it hurt? How does it feel?

Comfort levels with Ultherapy vary from person to person, but the sensation only lasts while the ultrasound energy is being delivered to the skin. You may experience feeling tiny amounts of energy being deposited to the skin, while the stimulation of collagen process is happening. Your technician will be there to ensure patient comfort for you.

Are there side effects or downtime?

The only side effects you may experience are slight redness in the skin, maybe some swelling, tingling, or tenderness to the touch, but these are very mild and temporary. After the procedure, you can return to normal activities immediately and there is no special post treatment measures, other than staying hydrated and remembering to wear spf.

How often do I need to come in for treatment?

Similar to Thermage, majority of patients will experience great results with just one single treatment, however, some patients may benefit from more than one treatment depending on how much skin laxity you may have, and your bids response to the ultrasound and collaged-building process. Maintenance Ultherapy treatments once a year can help maintain the best results.
